SlowGo is made by BackRoad Apps ("we," "us"). We care about your privacy the same way we care about a quiet ride — we want it to feel calm, not watched.
What we collect
Things you give us
- Email address — if you join the waitlist on this site, or sign in inside the app.
- Saved places and trips — inside the app, if you choose to save them.
Things we observe
- Location — only while the app is open and navigating. Used to draw your route and give turn-by-turn. Never sold.
- Basic device info — OS version, app version, crash logs. Used to fix bugs.
- Privacy-preserving analytics — aggregate counts of which features are used. No profiles, no cross-site tracking.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't build advertising profiles.
- We don't share your location with third-party marketers.
- We don't track you across other apps and sites.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of standard vendors to run the app — hosting, crash reporting, map tiles, and email delivery. Each is bound by their own standards and only receives what's needed to do their job.
Your choices
- Turn off location at any time in your device settings. The app won't navigate, but it won't break.
- Email privacy@backroadapps.com to request a copy of your data or delete your account.
- Unsubscribe from the waitlist with one click in any email we send.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "last updated" date above and let you know in the app.
